The standing pose, lotus stem, elaborate crown and jewellery follow established Himalayan iconography developed and refined by Newar metalworkers.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eBronze, gilding and surface\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe figure is traditionally hollow cast in a copper-alloy bronze.
