Further lotus flowers rise beside both shoulders.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe bodhisattva is richly adorned with a jeweled crown, large earrings, necklaces, armlets and anklets. Traces of original fire gilding survive in protected areas, while extensive handling, incense exposure and natural oxidation have produced the warm reddish-brown tones visible across the body.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEngraved floral, circular and geometric ritual marks cover the arms, thighs, back and lower body. The open underside reveals the large hollow-cast construction and the pierced structure of the lotus throne.
