A compact kneeling Burmese monk or Buddhist attendant with hands joined in reverence. The carved teak retains a layered temple-style finish of lacquer, gilding and small glass elements typical of Mandalay devotional sculpture.

Natural wear, craquelure and small losses contribute to the historical character of the figure. The date is kept broad because no inscription-based dating is available.

Antique condition with gilt and lacquer wear, glass losses, patina and normal age-related cracking.
