Welcome to our store
Discover Nepalese Buddha statues and Himalayan Buddhist bronzes selected for workmanship, iconography, surface and regional character. Nepal, and especially the Newar artistic tradition of the Kathmandu Valley, has played a major role in the production of finely cast Buddhist sculpture for centuries.
This collection can include gilt bronze and copper-alloy Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and related devotional figures with detailed lotus bases, jewellery, crowns, robes and hand-finished surfaces. Older pieces may preserve mercury or fire-gilding, red pigment, ritual deposits, sealed bases or naturally developed wear, all of which require careful object-by-object assessment.
Newar metalworkers influenced Buddhist art far beyond Nepal, including Tibet and other Himalayan regions. For that reason, attribution often depends on a combination of facial type, proportion, casting technique, base construction, iconography and decorative detail rather than one feature alone.
Explore our related bronze Buddha statues, Tibetan Buddha statues and antique Buddha statues. Individual listings provide dimensions, weight, material, condition and the reasoning behind the proposed origin or period where relevant.
