Tara is seated in a relaxed royal posture on a single lotus pedestal, one leg folded and the other extended. Her elaborate crown, jewellery and flowing lotus stems frame the slender figure, while the right hand forms Kataka Mudra.
Casting and historic surface
The statue was hollow-cast in a Himalayan atelier and finished by hand. Traces of original fire gilding survive in protected recesses within layered oxidation, including warm copper tones, green mineral deposits and darker residues developed through age and devotional handling.
Condition and underside
The sculpture remains structurally intact with natural surface wear and local losses to the original gilding. The final photograph shows the open underside, rough casting interior and accumulated oxidation without modern filler or industrial grinding marks.
