A substantial seated Shakyamuni Buddha in Bhumisparsha Mudra, notable for the contrast between its warm brass-toned alloy and surviving silvered areas. The Buddha and lotus throne were made as separate elements and assembled in a traditional multi-part construction.
Natural wear has exposed the underlying metal on the highest points, while silvering survives in protected areas. The 19th-century dating remains an art-historical attribution.

Antique condition with partial loss of silvering, patina and age-related wear.
