An exceptional Lan Xang Buddha in fire-gilt bronze with inlaid eyes, representing one of the most distinctive sculptural traditions of historic Laos.
Dating
The refined Lan Xang form, inlaid eyes and surviving historic-looking gilt surface make this an important object for further study, but the current documentation does not support a precise century. The dating therefore remains open rather than being overstated.
Condition
Surviving gilding, darker recessed areas and wear on raised details create a layered surface documented in the product photographs.
