A large image of Ekadasamukha Avalokiteshvara, the eleven-headed form of the Bodhisattva of compassion. The stacked heads rise in multiple tiers and are crowned by the head of Amitabha Buddha.

Iconography

The figure has eight arms. The principal hands are joined before the chest, while the remaining hands carry or once carried ritual attributes associated with this form of Avalokiteshvara.
