This coherent pair depicts Ksitigarbha, known in Chinese Buddhism as Dizang Pusa. Both calm, compassionate heads were originally part of larger devotional figures and remain together as a matched set.

Original gold leaf survives in irregular flakes integrated into the aged cast-iron surface. Layered oxidation, mineral accretions and natural wear are consistent with age and use. There is no modern coating, artificial patination or recent restoration; minor historical filling and surface variation remain visible.
